[Warrior - Mark Foster, Kimbra & A-Trak] (2012)

Was not planning on this being today’s song, but…

1) It’s a brand new song

2) It’s from Mark Foster of Foster the People and I was kind of addicted to their 1st album.

As many fans of Foster the People have rightfully pointed out, it’s like a more techno version of their song, Houdini, but whatever, doesn’t mean it isn’t good. I also prefer this Converse sponsored collaboration to DoYaThing by Gorillaz, Andre 3000 and James Murphy.  While DoYaThing had some parts that I admit to loving, it just failed to have one solid chorus unifying the whole thing and it really did end up feeling like multiple songs mashed together. Warrior here is more unified and as a result sounds almost dominated by Foster, but perhaps thanks to that is a more solid work.
